I love April Fool’s Day, it is so much fun! In honor of this wonderful holiday, I’ve compiled a list of harmless, goofy things to do around the office on that day. Please don’t do anything that really offends people or gets anyone fired. I do, however, totally condone asking the boss for a little leeway if you think they’ll go for it. I’ve always wanted to fill a co-workers cube with popcorn, but there really isn’t a lot of ROI in that activity.

Wrap your cube neighbor’s phone in rubber bands. It is easy to do yet totally awesome!

Pick one hour during the day to answer every question with a question.
Hide all the forks in the break room.
If you any of your office mates have any stuffed animals or anything in their cube, kidnap them. It really gets fun if you photoshop the toy into pictures of far off locale’s, etc. Here’s an example of one we did around this office with Veneta’s little toy reindeer that she kept calling a bear.

Use a made up word in a meeting.
Go to either www.thinkgeek.com or www.officeplayground.com and buy some of the cool things they have there. No, we’re not making any money providing those links, they just happen to be two of my favorite shops on the entire Internet.

Circle dates on someone else’s planner
Rearrange someone’s cube.
Take inspiration from the TV show The Office and send someone a fax from themselves.
